Travelling series should give an understanding of beauty of the Wetterau

The walking is long ago not only the Müller's desire. Walking is an employment which takes pleasure above all in Central Europe of big popularity. Only in Germany there are about 200,000 kilometres of footpaths which are marked by associations like the Vogelsberger height club or the Taunusclub and are maintained. Walking is an employment which one can wonderfully explain alone, with friends or the family. It is free of stress, costs no money, one needs no special equipment and finds enough time for himself or for each other. Just children often move too little, complain paediatricians, teachers and female teachers. What can there be there the better to make an excursion to the "travelling-cash" Wetterau as on the week-end or in a nice sunny afternoon?

We introduce in a loose row of travelling destinations „around the corner“. The descriptions are specified very much and complemented with a map, pictures and general information. The travelling proposals are accompanied by fairy tale, myths and legends from upper Hessians. We have opened two important springs for it, on the one hand for the first time in 1853 in Goettingen and Leipzig of J.W. Wolf published work „Hessian legends“ (reprint in 1972) and the „Super Hessian legend book“ which has published priest Theodor Bindewald in 1872 (reprint in 1973). In his Friedrich Ludwig Karl Weigand dedicated preface bandage wood asked itself critically: „Who asks yet a lot for the old stories?“, and immediately on it he invites warmly:„ and thus the reader of confident courage follows then the narrator to the rising mountains and rocks of his native country in whose Schoos the old moor gods still live execrated, to the holy Bronnen from whose deep Mother Holle and some snowy castle whiteness virgin mysteriously climbs up, to the forgotten painting sites, about which the wild hunter with his great army dahinsaust, to the verrufenen crossroads where the devil, the military wolf or a goblin frightens the traveller, to the lonesome remains formerly of proud castles and ruined churches and chapels in which restless the minds handle, and to shepherds and Sunday children, which on green hat pasture, in forest shade, or about set villages miracle flowers see, little monetary fire see shining and unexpected luck find by supernatural favour!“
